-
A perfect balance of sweetness and spice; I enjoyed them even though I’m not fond of spicy food.
- Inside the shrimp flavor was a tingling spiciness that would make this great as a snack to have with some alcohol.
- I often serve this with tea at family gatherings and it’s always popular with both adults and children.
- Each one is individually packaged, making it great as a gift even with a large group. The flavor is often praised, and even my colleagues at work were pleased.
- I received them as a gift and became addicted to them. I think I need to buy some more for myself.
- Being able to taste the traditional Japanese Shichimi Togarashi as a snack is both simple and enjoyable. Even my friends from abroad loved them.

A Stylish Taste for Tokyoites “Nanairo (Seven Colors) Togarashi”
The name “Shichimi Togarashi” actually
originates from the Kansai region
(Kyoto, Osaka, etc.). In Tokyo/Edo (Tokyo’s
former name), it was called
“Nanairo Togarashi.”
The “Nanairo Togarashi” in Yagenbori
was prepared for Tokyo natives
that loved spicy food. In order to
bring out the Kanto-specific tingling
spiciness, the two types of Togarashi,
fresh chili peppers and roasted chili peppers
called “Yakiko,” are blended together.
